The Amazon porpoise is highly respected by the Yonanobo people for the
magic and personality it possesses. Never is the great fish to be hunted.

Toucan - One of the loudest animals in the forest. Shamans use it as an incarnation to fly into the spirit world.

Jaguar - Fierce, Feared, Revered. A hunter as skilled as the Yananobo. It is always outsmarted in myths.
Capybara - The world's largest rodent, similar to a pig. With webbed feet, it's at home in and out of the water. A delicious meal for the Yonanobo.
Caiman - the Amazon gator. Devours its prey with powerful jaws. As a creature of myth, it is always wise with thoughtful tricks.

Dr. Westen looked to the most remote part of the Amazon to find the greatest concentration of magic. He found it in the Yonanobo tribe. Possible discendents of the Yanomami people in northern Amazonia, this tribe, numbering less than 100, were as musical as they were threatened. They sang whenever they were awake. Singing came to them as naturally as eating comes to most. But the encroachment of others made them eternally vigilant. They were the protectors of the Wädiba Trees, which grew in a small cluster on a hillside behind a cliff, inside Yonanobo territory.
