Min-Kwei was a talented singer and dancer. While
entertaining the Chinese troops in a variety show, she
became aware of a certain Lieutenant Colonel who
returned night after night. Ru-Ling, captivated by her
performance and determined to meet her, sent flowers
and notes backstage each evening. Two years later
they were married.
